Plagiarism: Is it that dangereous?

An original writer is not one who imitates nobody, but one whom nobody can imitate.

Today almost every fifth person in the world is facing with the problem of plagiarism. It is especially common in universities and journalism. In order to be able to better understand what lies in the essence of plagiarism, it should be said that plagiarism - is assigning some author's thoughts, ideas for yourself and releasing them under your name. Of course plagiarism is bad, but unfortunately, not everyone can understand this.
Everyone tends to think on their own, but not everyone can manage to express their thoughts on paper. And that’s why one can rush through the already famous and known to everyone sources of information.
However, each has their own reasons. So students, for example, resort to plagiarism in order to obtain good grades in a subject, and somehow  to seem smarter than others. As we know the Internet is full of a variety of materials, articles, writings, papers that somehow can be used by anyone if needed. And the danger is not even that the same work duplicated several times, but that this problem is not treated seriously. Neither the teachers nor the students take any responsibility for the use of somebody else’s materials. And it is becoming more rampant. But what about the students? From whom they have to take an example, if even the highest officials do not shy away from publishing other people's views as their own. For example, first copies of the widely publicized book Yanukovych “Opportunity Ukraine” recently arrived to Ukraine. Having hastily literary achievements of the president, the online edition "Ukrainska Pravda" came to a shocking conclusion. It turns out that Yanukovych's book is banal plagiarism, where the signature of the President issued not only to other people's ideas, and compiled whole paragraphs of text, which previously came under the signature of different people - from odious journalist Vyacheslav Pikhovshek to the arrested officer Vasily Volga.
As for journalism, the case is not how it is better. Very eloquently put in his time on plagiarism in the media journalist "Komsomolskaya Pravda" Andron Kalashnikov: "Plagiarism - unhealed wounds on the body of journalism. The origin of the wounds no one doubts: the neglect of basic hygiene rules.
Instead of running through the towns and villages to collect useful information for the public, reporters some publications by sedentary lifestyles and reading materials their colleagues have a lot of painful troubles. But instead of this unhealthy lifestyle changes to useful - combo trouble, causing wounds of the body..." (" Plagiarism - a disease of dirty hands ").
As you can see from Andron Kalashnikov’s words we are talking about lazy journalists who use publications of their colleagues, hurrying for cheap popularity. But what about the  so-called journalistic ethics? Does it no longer play any role in the modern world?
Unfortunately, yes, it loses its value and uses it only by recognized professional media, valuing their own readers and their reputation.
One can conclude that the problem of plagiarism is perhaps one of the most pressing problems nowadays. And it will not be solved until everyone personally realizes that copying someone, will damage even their own country. Because imitating each other, as well as foreign neighbors, we will not make anything new, that cultural development of their own country is at a standstill. Let it might sound corny, but the example of movie it can be explained. There seems to be the new name, new heroes, new directors, but only the content and story is always the same. And over time, it is annoying, because you know what will happen next. Similarly, in real life. Everything is identical. Therefore, you should realize that the introduction of new ideas and new thoughts only push us to self-development and self-improvement. And our future is in our hands.

So, which side will you choose?
